Even if they went and did something completely against who you are and who they were, you wouldn't be able to help keeping loving them. Divide the gear teeth on the rear wheel by the gear teeth out of the engine. The higher the number the quicker accelerating but slower top speed, the lower number higher speed but slower acceleration. If you can experiment you will find an acceptable compromise. As a minibike you wont stay on long enuf to burn the engine.
I totally agree with you. I grew up in a home where violence was non existence, never saw my father raise his hand to my mother once. Dont get me wrong they had their fair share of arguments, if it was getting to tough for dad (which it did on numerous occassions) he would take himself off to the pub. He would return and everything would have cooled by then.I also think its a 'control' issue when any man has to resort to violence, and lets not forget that women do their fair share of beating men too. One of my siblings beats his partner regularly. He has been inside and still the beatings continue. I dont speak to this individual as i am so ashamed of him
